We’re pleased to announce the release of R.K. Blessing’s second novel, The Flycaster. This coming-of-age story follows Brody, a young man on the run from an abusive father and the foster care system that’s failed him. When he falls asleep on the back porch of a dark shop in Eugene, Oregon–half-starved, sick and unsure where he is—he awakens to a world he never imagined.
Wholesome, yet exciting, heart-wrenching, but inspiring — The Flycaster illustrates the difficulty of learning to love, learning to trust, and learning to belong, after a lifetime filled with abuse and disappointment.
As with all Boyle & Dalton books, The Flycaster was vetted for quality of content. Blessing’s book was selected from a pool of other submissions because of its exceptional potential, and the author’s willingness to work with an editor’s suggestions. All books accepted by Boyle & Dalton undergo a complete production process, just as if they were accepted and published by a traditional publisher.
Boyle & Dalton is now accepting manuscripts for consideration. To submit a sample of your work, check out our submission page here.
